Events & Travel Calendar
- Add to your calendar
- Locate the “Add a coworker’s calendar” in the bottom section of the left sidebar in Google Calendar
- Enter [email protected] into the box.
- Repeat for [email protected]
Add an event
- Create an event on your calendar.
- Invite [email protected] to the event ONLY IF the event is something that all staff needs to know about.
- Invite [email protected] if you are going to be away.
- If prompted, click “Send Invitation”
- The event will be automatically added to the Events calendar
Delete an event
- Delete the event on your calendar.
- If prompted, click “Delete & Update Guests”
Resources
Google has some built-in tools that will make managing Bigelow’s resources (e.g. rooms, conference lines, equipment) much easier.
Instead of including the resource that you want to request in the title of the event, you will now invite it (or add it) just like you would invite a colleague to a meeting.
- Create a new event on your calendar
- Click Edit
- Next to where you would invite Guests, click on Rooms, etc.
- You will see a list of available resources (organized into categories). Expand each category to see which resources are available. There is a checkbox at the top of the list “Show only available”. To show all resources (with a red square if unavailable), uncheck the box.
- Click on the Add button next to all of the resources that you need for this event. You can use the “Find a time” feature to see which times the resources/people that you are inviting are available.
- Create the event.
